Manages new product sales and market development by developing relationships within the U.S. port and shipping industries.
DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops sales plans, strengthens customer relationships and insures market objectives are met.
Attains or exceeds revenue targets.
Able to generate business cases, including financial/ROI analysis for proposed new product developments from potential customers
Schedules regular agent and customer visits.
Develops new customers, identifies customer needs and presents sales solutions.
Maintains contact with existing customers to facilitate new sales and repeat contracting for existing business
Develops sales presentation and material consistent within business units.
Provides competitor information to management.
Collects prioritized product/service requirements and communicates them to business units/Marketing Director.
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Comprehensive knowledge of account management.
Outstanding presentation and communication skills.
Ability to make complex decisions and customer commitments in real-time.
Ability to build strong relationships with port and harbor sector employees at all levels.
Ability to effectively promote the use of the company’s technology with potential clients.
Ability to both develop and close opportunities.
Ability to be flexible with work schedule and capable of traveling internationally as needed.
Strong team player and experience working with all levels of the organization.
EDUCATION AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Relevant experience will be considered.
5+ years of comprehensive technical, direct sales and marketing experience in port and harbor sector products and services
Strong network & significant knowledge across the Ports and Harbors industry.
Proven experience selling SaaS solutions.
Consultative selling experience.
International work experience a plus.
Telecommuting is allowed.
