THE PORT OF OAKLAND is recruiting for the position of Wharfinger. The incumbent monitors port and terminal operations activities. Incumbents enforce tariff requirements and lease terms for use of marine terminal facilities and other port buildings, structures, land and water areas under the administration and control of the Marine Division. In addition, incumbents perform other related duties as assigned.

The minimum requirements for this position include a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university Business Administration, Transportation Management, Traffic Management or a closely related field and three years of recent (within the past five years) professional experience in work requiring extensive knowledge of marine shipping practices, tariffs, and port terminology.
